Honda‘s explosive Civic Type R is coming to North America with the Japanese firm saying it will be very close to the European model, which is a five-door hatch. And yes, the rest of the Civic hatchback range is heading our way as well.
Since the next-gen Civic will offer coupe and sedan body styles in North America, it’s only natural to ponder if Honda has any plans to drop its 2.0-liter turbocharged VTEC four-pot with more than 300-horses under the hood of those models too.

The study is based on the new Civic Concept shown in New York this month using the production Civic Type R hatchback’s aerodynamic and styling upgrades as a reference point.
