Very First Honda In America Located, Will Get Restored In Mini Documentary

Honda is going to share the story of their very first car imported in the US being restored back to its original condition.

As for the man in charge of the restoration, there is no better person to do the job than Tim Mings who is known for his expertise in working with N600s for a couple of decades. In fact he has worked on more than 1000 of these models.

The car in question is in Mings possession for some years now, before he decided to check its serial number, only to find out that this is indeed the very first Honda car to set foot on American soil.

Honda is going to share the restoration project with a mini-documentary divided in episodes, which will end up with the car restored in a Honda Museum so everyone can see it.

“We’re so proud to bring the story of Honda’s roots in the U.S. to life through the restoration of this vehicle,” said Alicia Jones, Honda social media manager. “Finding Serial One, the very first Honda N600 test vehicle in America, and documenting the meticulous process of bringing it back to life really embodies the Honda spirit. We can’t wait for viewers to come along with us on this journey.”
