This is the 2016 Honda Civic sedan
Upcoming Honda seen on the street sans camouflage
The official reveal of the all-new 2016 Honda Civic sedan is just around the corner, but if you need a dose of compact four-door excitement like now, these spy shots give a good idea of what the car is going to look like.
And by “good idea” we mean “this is what the 2016 Honda Civic looks like.”
Whether this was truly accidental or more of an “accidental” preview courtesy of some conveniently careless product testers, we’ll take it. CivicX.com shared this set of photos with the world, and we’re sharing them with you here. Be sure to check out the original forum post for lots of discussion.

As the 2016 Civic concept suggested, the 10th-gen sedan gets a better-defined, more highly sculpted beltline than the ninth-gen Civic it replaces. The rear is somewhat speedback-ish, and we’re detecting vague notes of Mazda 3 in the overall look — not a bad thing, as Honda has pledged to make the 10th-gen Civic “more sporty.” Up front, the hood gets a bit of definition thanks to a set of ridges that work their way backward from the headlights, and the big chrome bar across the grille gets even more assertive.
The car comes off as big at first glance, but appearances can be deceptive — we said the same thing about the coupe concept until we saw it in person. At the very least, it’s not as big as the Ford E350 van parked behind it …
Stay tuned for more information, and more pictures, after the reveal next week.
