New Honda Civic to debut on September 16 in Detroit and Los Angeles

The tenth generation Honda Civic will make its public premiere on September 16.

It was yesterday when we shared the latest spy photos of the 2016 Honda Civic and now it emerges the vehicle will be revealed in sedan version simultaneously in Detroit and Los Angeles on September 16. There’s no confirmation, but this probably means the car will be showcased during the Los Angeles Auto Show in late November. The coupe modification will be launched in late 2015 or early 2016.

The new model will be longer than its predecessor and with shorter overhangs and will sit lower on the road. It’s likely getting a new four-cylinder, 1.5-liter direct-injection turbo engine that will be mated to a short-shifting six-speed manual gearbox and a new CVT.

Several safety and assistance systems will be available, including Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control as well as a Multi-Angle Rearview Camera.
