The tenth generation Honda Civic has been spied in Spain featuring some sporty elements.
First of all, we noticed the front end still appears to be similar to the one of the previous Acura ILX. The lower part of the bumper though is different. To be more precise, the three air intakes there resemble the layout seen in the leaked patent images.
Moving to the back, there are taillights similar to the one from the Civic concept and a weird exhaust tips configuration with a smaller tip in the center surrounded by two bigger ones. There’s also a set of 18- or 19-inch multi-spoke wheels.
Chances are Honda is testing some performance parts, likely part from the next-gen Si or Type R models. We already know the Japanese company will launch a new Civic sedan this year, followed by a coupe early next year. These will be offered in the United States, while European customers will get a new hatchback in 2017.
