Honda has announced that it will preview its next-generation Ridgeline pickup truck with a concept vehicle at the upcoming SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
Honda didn’t issue any images of the concept vehicle, but the automaker will show the Ridgeline under the guise of a “Desert Race Truck.” Although the concept will likely sport a number of accessories, the overall shape should be similar to what we can expect to see in Honda showrooms next year.
Honda will also use the SEMA Show to announce its return to Honda Performance Development-powered factory off-road racing.
Based on previous spy shots, the next Ridgeline is expect to adopt classic pickup truck design cues. Tagged as a 2017 model, the new Ridgeline will likely be available exclusively with a crew cab and the same basic 3.5L V6 found in the latest Pilot.
Following its concept debut in Las Vegas, we could see the production version of the Honda Ridgeline at the Los Angeles auto show.
