After being originally unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show, the 2017 Honda Ridgeline is heading to the Chicago Auto Show later this week with a set of Genuine Accessories.
These include an assortment of black bits and pieces such as the roof rails, cross bars, fender flares, and a hard tonneau cover. Black 18-inch alloy wheels with all-terrain tires will also be available, along with a die cast running board, two-inch trailer ball, skid plate, and a towing kit.
Honda will have the 2017 Ridgeline on display later this week in the Windy City where the pickup truck will bring all of these goodies. Engineered entirely by Honda R&D Americas, the second-generation Ridgeline promises to bring best-in-class handling, ride quality, cabin quietness, and all-weather capabilities.
Power will be provided by a 3.5-liter V6 engine linked to a six-speed automatic gearbox sending power to the front or both axles. To boost traction regardless of terrain, the all-wheel drive system will have several selectable modes: Normal, Sand, Snow, and Mud. An interesting optional feature will be the industry’s first in-bed audio system with six exciters installed inside the bed wall to create the “ultimate tailgating vehicle.”
Set to be manufactured in Alabama, the 2017 Ridgeline will go on sale in the first half of this year.
