Honda designer Martin Petersson has revealed the sporty Project 2&4 won’t simply fade away.
Speaking to Top Gear, Petersson said “There will be a next step. It’s been too positive for us to go and complete this project in a basement somewhere.” However, he said they’re still trying to determine what the next step will be.
A production model feels like a long shot but the designer says the car has “potential” and a lot of iconic Honda products have “more-or-less start like this.”
As a refresher, the Project 2&4 was designed to combine the “freedom of a motorcycle” with “the maneuverability of a car.” It features a modified version of the company’s 999 cc RC213V motorcycle engine which develops over 215 PS (158 kW) and 118 Nm (87 lb-ft) of torque.
