Honda NeoWing concept revealed

The Honda NeoWing concept will be unveiled at the 2015 Tokyo motor show, which takes place at the end of this month.

Featuring two wheels at the front, and a single wheel at the rear, the Honda NeoWing is claimed to offer the “cornering feel and sporty ride equivalent to a large-sized motorcycle”, while also having “excellent stability in low-speed ranges”. Honda says that the front wheels are connected via “an original Honda linkage mechanism”.

Powering the NeoWing is a boxer four-cylinder engine and a set of electric motors that together “generate plentiful torque for powerful acceleration”.

Honda has yet to reveal the exact nature of this hybrid setup, nor has it given out power, torque and performance figures for the NeoWing.

The NeoWing is a follow-up of sorts to the Project 2&4 concept that was unveiled at the Frankfurt motor show in September.

That concept, which is powered by a RC213V MotoGP V4 four-stroke engine with 158kW of power at 13,000rpm and over 118Nm at 10,500rpm, takes the idea of the Ariel Atom and gives it a Honda twist. The Project 2&4 will be also be displayed at the Tokyo show.
