Honda might produce the Project 2&4 image
The Honda Project 2&4 might receive a production version in the near future, as a new report is indicating.
Do you remember the Honda Project 2&4 from the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show? Well, if so, and if you have enjoyed taking a peek at it, than you will most likely be happy to find out that this might actually hit the assembly line, in the near future. According to the company’s designer, Martin Petersson, the model in question won’t just fade away.
“There will be a next step. It’s been too positive for us to go and complete this project in a basement somewhere. The question is what that next step is. The company slogan is ‘The Power of Dreams’. If we don’t believe in it I might as well not go to work, right? I believe there’s potential. It’s a big challenge but we’ve built jet airplanes. That was a big challenge and a lot of these iconic Honda products more-or-less start like this. There’s no science fiction in the car…”, said Martin Petersson to TopGear.
The Honda Project 2&4 Concept has debuted, as we’ve mentioned above, at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. The model was brought in a single-seat configuration and it has been born after a collaboration between the design studios of motorcycle and automobile within the company. This us currently weighing 405 kg and it is using an RC213V competition motorcycle engine, which has been modified from the usual MotoGP in order to be used on public roads. This is a 999cc V4 four-stroke, which is rated at 210 HP at 13,000 rpm and 118 Nm at 10,500 rpm. Power is being sent to the wheels through a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission.
