The Takata airbag recall web has been stretched once again, with Japanese carmaker Honda extending the scope of its Takata program.
New build dates have been added to the list for several models which have already been included in the recall, spanning four years.
Examples of the Insight from the 2012-2013 model-year are also on the list, as is the 2012-2014 Jazz.
The recall targets the same airbag inflator as previous Takata recalls, as the inflator may rupture as the airbag is triggered; causing metal fragments to strike occupants in the cabin.
These fragments can cause injury, or in extreme cases, death.
The Takata recall program has been in operation for nearly two years, with Nissan and Toyota being the latest to expand their recall lists late last year.
Honda will attempt to contact affected owners shortly, but any owner wishing to learn more about the latest round of recalls should contact their local dealer.
