Honda Civic Tourer Active Life concept is all about bicycles at 2015 IAA

Honda has introduced the Civic Tourer Active Life concept at the ongoing 66th IAA in Frankfurt.

The half motorcycle / half car Project 2&4 concept is the main star at Honda’s stand at the auto show, but they also have this special Civic Tourer that was designed to cater cyclists. Gone are the rear seats as the entire bench has been removed to make room for a load rack that can carry two bicycles. It also comes with a retractable arm to enable an easier maneuvering of the two-wheelers while a large light mounted within the tailgate should prove to be useful when working on the bikes after the sun sets.

The concept benefits from a plethora of accessories including an air pump, toolbox, bottle holder, water tank, front wheel holder and an extended shade area while on the roof is a bespoke cargo box for carrying shoes, helmets and whatnot. The Civic Tourer can be further distinguished by its new paint scheme, fresh 18-inch rims, revised rear bumper and blue stitching combined with a black headliner for the interior cabin.

Honda hasn’t specified whether they plan to launch a production version.
