European Honda NSX detailed in extensive gallery image

The Japanese automaker has released an extensive gallery with the Honda NSX, the European relative of the American-made Acura NSX.

Fans of the model on the Old Continent must be eager to get their hands on the hybrid supercar, so Honda decided to entice them with a fully fledged gallery of images, ahead of the start of showroom deliveries scheduled to commence in autumn. With a semi-revolutionary design – that blends cues from the predecessor but has the wit to pack them in high-tech, modern credentials – as well as larger dimensions, the NSX first appeared as the Acura NSX during the January 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. It has been eagerly awaited because of its iconic predecessor and toured automotive shows as well as different venues – including the recently concluded Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.

Since we’re dealing with a Japanese representative, the supercar is brimming with technology. It has everything from active sound control to active steering. Of course, most importantly it uses a Sport Hybrid SH-AWD powertrain – making use of a twin turbo V6 and no less than three electric motors for a combined output of 581 PS (573 HP) and 686 Nm (506 lb-ft) of torque. This means the 62 mph (100 km/h) sprint is handled in three seconds flat, on its way to the maximum speed of 308 km/h (191 mph). It also packs amenities such as the Honda Connect 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system (complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), leather and Alcantara, as well as a digital instrument cluster.
