The local division of the Japanese automaker has decided to bring in even more customers to the CR-V crossover by introducing the Limited Edition model, which comes with $3,800 worth of savings.

While Honda has simply dubbed the special model as the CR-V “Limited Edition”, the buyers might be lured in thanks to the increased value for money. That’s because the special edition brings $5,500 worth of kit, with a premium of just $1,700 compared to the regular CR-V in the VTi (AT) configuration. With starting prices from $32,990 (2WD) and $35,690 (4WD), the Limited Edition comes with 18-inch alloy wheels and has much more in terms of additional features. We can see the side steps, roof spoiler, automatic headlights but the buyers also get front + rear parking sensors, front fog lamps, automatic windscreen wipers, and Honda’s LaneWatch system. There’s also the option of the metallic or pearlescent paints, but that is pricey at an additional $575.

The fourth generation CR-V crossover has been on the market since about 2012 so these special editions are here to enhance its appeal until a refresh arrive – as many people might consider it growing long in the tooth otherwise. There are new prototypes out there testing and the rumor mill is already calling for a complete redesign coming late next year as a 2018 model – even with a seven seat layout, thanks to increased overall dimensions.
