A convertible version of the Acura NSX is currently looking for a new owner.
But what convertible version you may ask, if you know your cars well? Well, this particular example hasn’t been manufactured in such a body style and in fact it has been transformed by its owner, who has decided to chop its roof off. The vehicle is getting a black finish for its body and a color matching soft top and it has travelled for 40,533 miles, throughout its lifetime. The asking price for it stands at almost 50,000 USD, and this is quite expensive considering the fact that the vehicle has been basically ruined.
The Acura NSX, or the Honda NSX as it has been called in various markets, has been in production for 15 years, between 1990 and 2005 and it used to be one of the most iconic sports cars ever. The model has been shown, at first, back in 1989, at the Chicago Auto Show, as the NS-X, standing for New Sportscar eXperimental, and this has become its name eventually. The NSX was offered with a mid-engine and a rear-wheel drive layout, along with a two-seat coupe body style and an all-aluminum body. Power to it was being provided by the V6 engine. The NSX has recently received an official successor, coming with the same name but being basically a completely new car. This has been unveiled earlier this year and it should be offered for sale by the end of 2015.
