Acura has provided an early look at its forthcoming Super Bowl ad featuring the NSX supercar.
The 30-second segment is backed by Van Halen’s Runnin’ with the Devil, providing a high-energy theme to promote the company’s Precision Crafted Performance branding and the halo nameplate.
“This is the first time Van Halen has released Runnin’ with the Devil for use in advertising,” the automaker noted in its announcement.
The campaign is also said to be one of the first Super Bowl spots to be launched with help from Twitter Conversational Video. Participating viewers are entered into a contest to win an NSX driving experience.
Acura will also publish a 60-second version of the commercial and an online countdown clock to highlight the February 25 arrival of the NSX online configurator, coinciding with the first pre-orders.
The resurrected 2017 NSX will fetch $157,800 (including $1,800 freight) in the US market, arriving in showrooms later this year.
