Acura introduces sporty-looking TLX GT package
Acura has announced a new GT package for its TLX sedan. Intended to reflect Acura’s racing heritage, the new TLX GT package will debut early next month at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
More show than go, the GT treatment is little more than an appearance package for the TLX. It includes a rear deck lid spoiler, front spoiler, side sill garnishes and an underbody spoiler. The package also includes 19-inch Diamond Cut wheels that are typically optional on the TLX.
The GT package is available on all three TLX trim levels — TLX 2.4L, TLX 3.5L and TLX SH-AWD. The package is available now at dealers nationwide, although Acura didn’t mention pricing in its press release.
Acura’s racing history includes the manufacturer, driver and team championships in both the LMP1 and LMP2 classes in the 2009 American LeMans series. Most recently Acura campaigned a racing version of the TLX GT in the Pirelli World Challenge.
Additionally, Acura plans to expand its racing endeavors with a NSX GT3 next year.
