Mass production of the redesigned 2017 Honda Ridgeline midsize pickup truck has begun at the brand’s manufacturing plant in Alabama.
The Ridgeline is slated to go on sale soon at Honda dealerships in the U.S. and marks the return of Honda to the midsize pickup truck segment. Fully redesigned, the Ridgeline now features a fresh look, a revised 3.5-liter V6, an entirely new interior, torque vectoring all-wheel drive and its staple features; a dual-hinged tailgate and a trunk in the bed.
Some other noteworthy features on the truck include an in-bed audio system and Honda’s full suite of active safety technology that includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and more.
“Today we celebrate the dedication of our Alabama team in bringing a very innovative new pickup truck to market,” said Jeff Tomko, president of HMA. “I congratulate all of our associates for their commitment to our customers as the Ridgeline returns with new features that will deliver even more of what today’s truck customers want and need.”
We had the chance to drive the new Ridgeline in San Antonio, TX already, so watch for the full video review to drop on Monday, March 9.
