Our spy photographers are hard at work snapping shots of the next popular coupe from Honda. Here’s their latest haul of the upcoming Civic Coupe, which looks similar to the concept shown off earlier this year.
Originally previewed at the New York Auto Show in April, the Civic Coupe is expected to be more aggressive looking, with a wider and lower stance. The car will also follow in the footsteps of the recently refreshed Accord, and receive a Acura-like grille covered in chrome and LED lights.
We know that the new Civic will use a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine, and that a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine will be offered as well for those looking for more fuel efficiency or power with a new Si model. The turbocharged engine will be a new design from Honda, sporting direct injection. The car will be offered with a six-speed manual transmission or Honda’s solid CVT.

Inside, you’ll notice more big changes for the Civic, including a redesigned dash that looks to improve the infuriating HondaLink infotainment system with real buttons and knobs. The Civic Coupe will also get new safety systems including lane departure warning and forward collision alert.
Expect to learn more about the next-generation Civic later this month. It’s expected to hit showroom floors before the end of the year.
