The new Honda Civic Coupe has been spotted testing before its official debut next week at the LA Auto Show.
These shots give us our first look at the production version of the Civic Coupe, which has been toned down quite a bit compared to the Civic Coupe Concept that was shown off at the New York Auto Show. Though it doesn’t look as aggressive, the car does retain what looks to be the same electric green exterior color.
According to Honda, the coupe will have “even sportier lines” than the sedan, which can be seen in the sloping roofline. The same engines found in the Civic sedan, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque and a 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder with 174 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque will be offered in the coupe.
The new 2016 Civic goes on sale in the U.S. on Nov. 12 and will be sold only in sedan form at launch. The coupe will join the lineup shortly afterwards while a hatchback, Si and Type R model will all join the range sometime in the future.
