The world debut for the 2016 Honda Civic Coupe will happen next week at the L.A. Auto Show.
This will be the first time we’ve seen the coupe version of the Civic in production form. The sedan has been getting rave reviews for really stepping up its style and driving dynamics game.
Built on the same platform as the sedan, the Civic Coupe will have a sportier silhouette and is second in a series of new Civic debuts. The performance-oriented Si model, a five-door hatchback and the hot Type R have all been confirmed for the U.S. and launches for those models will follow sometime next year.

Honda promises the coupe will have “even sportier lines, with an intimate, high-tech interior and engaging powertrain options to continue Honda’s focus on launching the sportiest and most expansive Civic lineup in brand history.” The Coupe will have the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 158 hp and 138 lb-ft of torque as the sedan or the optional new 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder with 174 hp and 162 lb-ft.
The 10th-generation 2016 Honda Civic Sedan goes on sale Nov. 12 in the U.S.
Also making its U.S. debut at the 2015 L.A. Auto Show is the Honda Clarity Fuel Cell sedan. Honda has confirmed to AutoGuide.com that the hydrogen-powered car will launch in the U.S. market next year.
