2015 New York Auto Show: Honda Civic Concept

The Honda Civic Concept has recently made a surprise appearance during the 2015 New York Auto Show.

Designed to offer a preview of the 10th generation production model, the new Kia Civic Concept has been introduced at the automotive event which is taking place these days in the Big Apple. The one-off version is getting a new design and it is offering a preview of the new styling direction. This will be offered in the hatchback, in the Sedan, in the Coupe, the Si and, of course, the popular Type R version.

The concept car is bringing the LED headlights, the Flying H front grille, the beefy air intakes, the more pronounced fender arches, elongated hood, the shorter rear deck, the fixed wing at the rear, the interconnected LED taillights, the single hexagonal exhaust tip which has been mounted in the rear and several other tweaks which will put some distance between it and the current models.

The 2016 Honda Civic, in the U.S.-spec, will be coming with the 1.5 liter VTEC Turbo direct injected engine, which will be connected to a six-speed shirt-shifting transmission or to a brand new CVT. Some of the safety features found on the car will include the Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Multi-Angle Rearview Camera, Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure and several other tweaks. The next-gen Honda Civic will go on sale this fall, in the U.S.
